Khorezm hosted Lazgi International Dance Festival. It was attended by representatives of the sphere of culture and art from several foreign countries and regions of Uzbekistan. Exhibitions were organized on the history of dance art, national costumes, works of fine and applied art, sculpture, and handicrafts.

A book fair also took place.

A press conference dedicated to Lazgi International Dance Festival was held in Khiva. An International Scientific and Practical Conference “The role of Uzbek national dance in the world dance art” was organized. It was attended by dance masters, musicologists and art critics, famous artists, leading experts and honored guests from foreign countries.

Winners of the dance competition were also announced at the event. Uzbek dancer Dilnoza Artikova won the Grand Prix and received $7,000. The dance ensemble “Tumor” of the State Academic Grand Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi took first place in the nomination “Best Dance Ensemble”. Sherzod Kenjabayev from Uzbekistan and Gulnur Kasymbek from Kazakhstan took first place in the nomination “Best Soloist”. Bulgarian dance group “Pirin” took first place in the nomination “Best dance”.
