Bukhara hosted an event on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of giving the status of the state language to the Uzbek language and October 21 – the Uzbek Language Day.
The participants of the event laid flowers at the monument to Alisher Navoi, a great poet, an unsurpassed master of words. The importance of the Uzbek language in national identity, spiritual and enlightenment work carried out to increase its prestige, scientific research in this direction was discussed at the event.
The main celebrations continued at the Palace of Arts of the Youth Center. At the event, with the participation of linguists, creative people and teachers of the native language and literature, a theatrical program was presented on “The native language is alive – the nation is eternal”.
On the eve of the holiday, the manual “Jakhon minbaridan yangragan tilim” was published. It presents the opinions of our great ancestors, as well as laws, decrees and government resolutions in language.
