Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva received a delegation led by the Minister of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea Lee Jung-Sik.

The parties discussed further strengthening friendship and a special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, enhancing large-scale cooperation, particularly in labor relations.

It was noted that the Summit on Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation “Central Asia + the Republic of Korea” in a new format, scheduled for September this year, will open up new opportunities for enhancing multilateral ties.

Proposals were put forward for implementing joint projects within the framework of the UN Global Accelerator initiative on jobs and social protection.

It was noted that signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the relevant ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea would bring bilateral relations to a new level.
