From July 21 to 23, Paris will host the international tournament for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Prize in Kurash.

The event is organized by the European Kurash Confederation, the Kurash Federation of France, and the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan.

“Paris, which hosted the Summer Olympic Games last year, will now bring together the world’s strongest Kurash athletes”, said Uygun Umarov, Deputy Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan. “Cultural entertainment events are also planned to promote the culture of Uzbekistan. This open international tournament is traditionally held in line with the Presidential resolution “On measures to develop and further enhance the international prestige of the national sport of kurash”. Men will compete in the -90 kg and +90 kg weight categories, while women will compete in the -70 kg and +70 kg categories. The tournament will take place at the Emil Anthoine Stadium sports complex.

The prize fund for the tournament is €30,000, and the results achieved by the athletes will be included in the International Kurash Association’s ranking system.
