At the 13th General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), held in Tirana, Albania, it was announced that Kurash is included in the program of the Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2025.

The event, which was attended by delegates from many countries, representatives of sports organizations, and heads of international sports federations, considered the sports, technical, and tactical aspects of the Islamic Solidarity Games system and the competition calendar.

During the events organized within the framework of the assembly meeting, the International Kurash Association’s leadership and ISSA representatives discussed the issues of further development of kurash in the international arena.

During the discussions, the technical representatives of IKA and ISSA stressed the need to hold a working group meeting on issues related to kurash competitions, particularly weight categories, judging, drawing lots, broadcasting, equipment, and other technical details. Several agreements have been reached.
