Korean specialists perform complex surgeries on severe congenital heart defects in Tashkent
Korea International Cooperation Agency’s office in Uzbekistan, together with the Ministry of Health, is implementing large-scale reforms in medicine.
On 1 July 2021, a delegation of 18 medical professionals led by Professor of the Pediatric Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Department of Seoul National University Kim Woong-Han visited the National Children’s Medical Center in Tashkent.
Korean cardiac surgeons, together with Uzbekistan specialists, provided treatment for low-income children in critical condition and 10 complex surgeries. They also performed cardiac catheterization on 10 children.
