It is envisaged that in the fall of this year, Korean doctors will operate free of charge on about 20 patients with a diagnosis of cleft palate.

The National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan supports the implementation of this initiative.

According to the National Chamber, the operations will be performed by surgeons from the Seoul National University Dental Hospital.

“We are delighted to support the initiative of Seoul National University Dental Hospital to operate on patients diagnosed with cleft palate. These are mainly children and adolescents from low-income families, many of them have complex pathologies. As a result of joint efforts, they will be able to improve the quality of their lives, build and implement new plans”, Ravshan Izamov, Chairman of the National Chamber of Innovative Healthcare of the Republic of Uzbekistan said during a meeting with members of the Korean delegation.

In autumn, a working delegation of about 20 Seoul National University Dental Hospital specialists is expected to arrive. In addition to helping patients, this cooperation will improve the skills of doctors in Uzbekistan, present in practice the latest innovations in surgery during operations of this type.

The operations will be carried out in Tashkent region. Specialists from Seoul National University Dental Hospital traditionally conduct charity operations in Uzbekistan. This is their tenth visit to Uzbekistan for this purpose.
