Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with the head of Korea Meteorological Administration Park Kwang Suk within the framework of the Global Forum on International Development Cooperation for Climate Change Response in Asia.

It was noted that the Centre of Hydrometeorological Service in Uzbekistan and Korea Meteorological Administration have established effective cooperation. The parties are implementing several projects in advanced training of the Centre of Hydrometeorological Service specialists.

Mr. Park Kwang Suk noted that Uzbekistan is one of the active countries participating in international initiatives to prevent environmental problems, in particular climate change.

The head of the meteorological department of South Korea expressed interest in further developing cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The parties took part in the Global Forum on International Development Cooperation for Climate Change Response in Asia, organized at the initiative of the Korea Meteorological Administration.
