As previously reported, at the Islamic Solidarity Games, which are continuing in Türkiye’s Konya, Uzbekistan’s 15-year-old athlete Sharifa Davronova became the leader with a result of 14.30 meters in a triple jump.

However, the judges decided to award the victory to Tuğba Danışmaz from Türkiye, although she crossed the red line.

Unfortunately, in this situation, the judges ignored the protests announced by Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan national teams. Tuğba Danışmaz was declared the winner of the competition. Taking advantage of the right to make a protest according to the rules of the competition, the coaches staff of the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation made a timely protest on this occasion.

The case was studied by experts. When reviewing the video, a technical error made by an athlete from Türkiye was revealed, and her result was annulled, the Ministry of Sports Development reports.

Sharifa Davronova was awarded a gold medal. Now, Uzbekistan national team has 12 gold medals.
