Kokand to become the first Tourism Capital of the Turkic Council

The Sixth Meeting of the Ministers in Charge of Tourism of the Turkic Council kicked off in Kokand on 24 June.

The meeting is attended by the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Aktoty Raimkulova, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Economy and Finance of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, Program Director of the Hungarian Tourism Agency Marta Fazekas, as well as Chairman of Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev.

It was proposed to support the initiative of Uzbekistan to declare the city of Kokand as the first Tourism Capital of the Turkic Council, which has a special place in the development of the Turkic world and peoples, which has made a significant contribution to the development of the Silk Road.
