Cooperation agreements signed between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea served to establish the National Children’s Medical Center in Tashkent on 19 October this year.
On December 23, one of the largest and most important projects between the two countries – KOICA Simulating Innovation Learning Center has been established under this center.
The opening ceremony of the training center was attended by health officials, Korea and Uzbekistan medical workers and journalists.
It was noted that the main goal of KOICA Simulating Innovation Learning Center is to achieve quality education in pediatrics in Uzbekistan, to train qualified specialists, to improve advanced surgical skills through training medical staff at the training center, to reduce child mortality and morbidity and improve the quality of medical services.

KOICA Simulating Innovation Learning Center will help to improve the skills of doctors and nurses of the National Children’s Medical Center with the involvement of qualified Korean medical staff in pediatrics.
According to the agreement signed between the National Children’s Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of Seoul National University, by February 2022, Korean medical staff will help to improve the knowledge and skills of the center’s nurses.
Within the implementation of the project it is planned to improve the skills of 26 doctors, 22 nurses and technical staff of the National Children’s Medical Center at the Children’s Hospital of Seoul National University, Korea.
