Minsk, Belarus, hosted a meeting on the preparation for Belarus – Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum under the leadership of the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly - the Upper House of Parliament Natalya Kochanova.

The event was attended by members of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic, heads of state governing bodies, institutions, and organizations.

“This is not the first time we have held such events. Before that, the Forums of the regions of Belarus and Russia, women entrepreneurs, and many others were successfully organized”, Ms. Natalya Kochanova said.

Cooperation with Uzbekistan is important for Belarus, the speaker noted.

“Moreover, in the area of women’s organization, entrepreneurship, interaction with countries that are strategic partners for us is very important”, she said. – I would like this event to be held at a high level. My colleague, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva, will visit Belarus for the first time. She will see what our Motherland is like, which we must show in full. About 40 business representatives from Uzbekistan will visit Belarus. We plan to sign contracts, hold a cultural program, sectional events, and a plenary session.

When we were in Uzbekistan, I saw that we had something to share. Uzbek colleagues can tell us how they work. But we also have a lot to show. In addition, we are interested in trade and economic cooperation, in the creation of joint ventures, and even considered issues in the personnel policy, attracting specialists. While visiting Uzbekistan, I saw that we have many interaction points.

The Belarus – Uzbekistan Women’s Business Forum is scheduled for early September.
