Scientists of Khorezm Mamun Academy have created an electronic database of architectural monuments of the city of Khiva and included extensive materials on the history, and technical condition of tangible cultural heritage objects.

According to the Academy of Sciences, during the formation of the electronic database, comprehensive studies were carried out to determine the technical condition of historical architectural monuments located on the territory of Ichan Kala and Dishan Kala, in Khiva.

The results of the scientists' research and the materials of the electronic database were also used in the development of the program for the implementation of the International Project “Development of the Management Plan of Ichan Kala – a World Heritage Site” included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, and applied in the conservation and restoration of 94 historical architectural monuments of the city of Khiva.

The electronic database created in the form of a catalog contains information about the history of each monument of the city, their size, current technical condition and equipment, as well as materials used in their construction. All this is accompanied by relevant photographs.
