Virtual talks have been held between representatives of Khorezm region hokimiyat and the regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with the Scottish branch of the British Federation of Small Businesses.

Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UK organized virtual talks between representatives of Khorezm region hokimiyat and the regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with the Scottish branch of the British Federation of Small Businesses.

For the British side, a presentation was made on the investment and trade potential of Khorezm region with an emphasis on the existing opportunities on the territory of Khazorasp free economic zone and the export of fruit, vegetable and textile industries from the region.

The British side noted the high potential for cooperation and prospects for establishing direct cooperation between companies of the two regions. Processing agricultural products and food production were identified as promising areas. An agreement was also reached on development of potential joint projects in other areas of mutual interest.

The parties also exchanged views on issues of cultural cooperation, including the establishment of contacts between the historic cities of the two regions.
