Kazan hosts the 15th International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”.
“This International Economic Forum of Russia and the states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has been held in the capital of Tatarstan since 2009”, says a leading researcher at the Abu Rayhan Biruni Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, orientalist-source specialist Komiljon Rakhimov. “The forum is a platform for strengthening trade, economic, social, and cultural ties between Russia and Uzbekistan. Our country’s tourism, economic, and investment potential is demonstrated within its framework. The interest of foreign visitors to the Uzbekistan pavilion is growing. I am participating in this forum as a guest. I also delivered a speech on the “Economic views of the saints of the Khojagon and Naqshbandi teachings”. My research aroused great interest. Kazan’s “Khuzur” publishing house expressed its readiness to publish this book in Tatar, Russian, and Arabic. I also want to publish this book in Uzbek, in Uzbekistan”.

A special exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan’s economy, culture, and industry was presented as part of the forum.
This forum aims to strengthen ties between member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, including Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, in the economic, educational, social, and cultural spheres. It will also support the development of institutions of the Islamic financial system in Russia and worldwide, with particular attention paid to implementing joint international projects and programs.

The conference’s main topics were Islamic finance, investment, industry, small and medium-sized businesses, diplomacy, international cooperation, technology, tourism, medicine, and sports.
The Halal Expo exhibition, which took place as part of this year’s forum, also showcased halal products from Russia and Muslim countries, services, investments, and infrastructure projects.
