As previously reported, on January 20-30, Tashkent will host the continental U22 Boxing Championships.

Representatives of more than 20 countries are expected to participate in the Asian Championships. According to Sports.kz, Kazakh boxers will not take part in the competitions in Tashkent. In connection with the events that have taken place, the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan has temporarily suspended all sporting events in the country and the participation of Kazakhstani athletes in international championships.

According to Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, Kazakhstan Boxing Federation has not yet made an official statement on this issue.
