5135 have been arrested in Kazakhstan following violent riots this week, over 1,300 security personnel were injured while maintaining public order, the country’s Internal Affairs Ministry reports.

According to Kazakhstan MIA, about 300 people were arrested while trying to cross the country’s borders. They were found in possession of firearms, stolen items, and large sums of money in local and foreign currencies. 

Anti-terrorist operation is underway to maintain security and order in the country. The situation has stabilized across the country.
