The Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Wool Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting between the Chairman of the Committee, I. Ergashev and the Chairman of the Kazak Silk Association, the Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurs and Industry of Turkestan Region, N. Abdurazakova.

In Kazakhstan, sericulture is developing based on Uzbekistan’s experience.

At the meeting, agreements were reached on the delivery of mulberry seedlings to Kazakh partners in the spring of this year by the Ipak Kuchat sericulture cluster in Andijan region for $2 million. The participants discussed the issues of attracting Uzbekistan scientists to work on the development of seed production and scientific and theoretical research.
