Kazakh developer BI Group and Murad Buildings agree on the next stage of work in Uzbekistan
17:42 / 2025-11-17

The transfer of NRG shares to BI Group, while preserving the company’s local identity, took place during the Great Silk Road Business Cooperation Forum on 13 November 2025.

This marks the next stage of BI Group’s long-term strategy in the Uzbekistan market and simultaneously reaffirms the partners’ mutual respect for their chosen professional trajectories. NRG will continue operating under the brand NRG – BI with BI Group’s local management team. Murad Buildings will focus on developing its own unique projects. The amount and terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The model adopted by the parties implies a divided implementation of the strategic vision based on each party’s strongest competencies. Murad Buildings develops projects with distinct architectural identity and bespoke solutions. BI Group assumes sole responsibility for the operational management of NRG, focusing on integrated urban environments and infrastructure. This approach accelerates decision-making and strengthens the company’s core competencies.

For NRG clients, employees, and partners, the changes mean preserving commitments and maintaining the company’s course. Service standards will be improved, and contractual terms for current and ongoing projects remain unchanged. BI Group reaffirms its commitment to Uzbekistan’s legislation, to close cooperation with state institutions and local communities, to prioritizing local suppliers, and to developing domestic human capital.

“We view Uzbekistan as a partnership in which fulfilled commitments confirm trust”, says Aidyn Rakhimbayev, CEO and Shareholder of BI Group. “The transfer of NRG’s management to BI Group is not a change of course but a continuation of the work already begun. We hold deep respect for local traditions and professional culture and understand that long-term success is possible only by relying on local teams and taking responsible care of every neighborhood and every home”.

“The five years of cooperation have been a valuable experience for us”, says Murad Nazarov, Founder of Murad Buildings and Co-Founder of NRG. “During this time, NRG has implemented several significant and visually impressive projects. I believe that under the management of our colleagues at BI Group, NRG will continue to build just as quickly and with the same high quality. We will focus on developing Murad Buildings, emphasizing the uniqueness of projects, modern technologies, and quality – and most importantly, on showing even greater care for all our clients and partners. I sincerely thank everyone for their trust. It inspires us to move forward and create projects that serve people and beautify the city”.

NRG – BI will expand its operations in Uzbekistan in line with the principles of sustainable construction, transparent pricing, and customer-oriented service. The company will regularly inform buyers about construction progress and key project milestones, and will also develop professional training programs for local specialists. All communications and decisions will be taken in accordance with the country’s urban development policy and in constant coordination with the relevant authorities.
