The project for the construction of a chemical complex for the production of nitrogen fertilizers Karakulkimiyo will be carried out on the territory of the Karakul Free Economic Zone.
The investment company Ferkensco Management Limited, which implements the project, has received a plot of 50 hectares for long-term use.
The Karakulkimiyo Chemical Complex will produce up to 495,000 tons of ammonia and 594,000 tons of carbamide annually. It will become one of the largest industrial enterprises in Bukhara region.
The production park of the Karakulkimiyo will comprise 364 pieces of equipment. The staff of the enterprise is more than 500 employees.
– The partners of the project are the Enter Engineering Group of Companies and the Swiss company Casale S.A., which, within the framework of this project, provides services for designing and securing a license to use its technology for manufacturing this type of chemical product, – said Timur Jurayev, head of Ferkensco Management Limited in Uzbekistan. – The uniqueness of the development lies in the fact that it allows saving on operating costs of gas in the production of ammonia and also reduces emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
The start of construction of Karakulkimiyo is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023, with the production opening in January 2026. The volume of investments is $600 million.
