Karakalpakstan hosts the extraordinary 34th session of the Jokargy Kenes.

Based on the unresolved issues in Karakalpakstan related to the development of infrastructure, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the following instructions to the heads of relevant ministries and agencies:

– attract $160 million for reconstruction of Guzar – Bukhara – Nukus – Beineu highway section passing through the Turtkul, Beruni and Ellikkala districts;

– repair 1,500 kilometers of water supply networks, more than 150 wells, pumping stations and water supply stations;

– to lay sewer networks in Nukus, Takhiatash and Khodjeyli districts;

– replace 128 transformers, 7.5 thousand poles;

– to create sections for the repair of internal roads in each city and district of Karakalpakstan with the allocation of a sufficient number of employees, the necessary funds and equipment;

– within two months to develop a program for the development of international and domestic roads in Karakalpakstan.
