Namangan hosts the 4th Namangan Open Uzbekistan International Taekwondo Cadet Championships.

Athletes from Central Asian countries were the main contenders for victory in the championship held by the Uzbekistan Taekwondo WTF Association and various organizations.

Muhammadjamshid Numonjonov, Fatkhullo Bakhtiyorov, Fayzullokh Khakimov, Zufar Tojiyev, Muhammadaziz Abdullayev, Islom Muhammadjonov, Abdullo Siddikov, Osiyo Murotova, Shabbona Islomboyeva, Mubina Akbaraliyeva, Asaloy Khabibullayeva, Farangiz Mahkamboyeva and Mekhribon Murotova won the gold medals of the tournament.
