Judokas of Uzbekistan among the Prize Winners
Members of the Uzbekistan National Judo team Diyorbek Urozboev and Dilshod Choriev won bronze medals at the Judo Grand Prix Tournament held in Samsun, Turkey.
Members of the Uzbekistan National Judo team Diyorbek Urozboev and Dilshod Choriev won bronze medals at the Judo Grand Prix Tournament held in Samsun, Turkey.Around 400 athletes from over 60 countries competed in the Grand Prix Samsun, 2016 for prizes and ranking points that give the right to participate in the XXXI Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
Among judokas in weight category up to 60 kg, Diyorbek Urozboev defeated Amartuvshin Bayaraa from Mongolia, Lukhumi Chkhvimiani from Georgia, but lost to Turkish judoka Bekir Ozlu. In the competitions for the bronze medal, Diyorbek won over Arif Bagirov from Belarus and Vincent Limare from France.
In the weight category up to 90 kg, Dilshod Choriev defeated Ihar Zhukau from Belarus, Ciril Grossklaus from Switzerland, Nikoloz Sherazadishvili from Spain, but lost Khusen Khalmurzaev from Russia. In the competition for the third place, Dilshod defeated Patryk Ciechomski from Poland.
