JSC Uzmetkombinat introduces new production capacity

The event was attended by representatives of the trust management company FE LLC SFI Management Group D.Usmanova, Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzmetkombinat T.Azamatov, khokim of Bekabad Z.Fayzullayev, as well as representatives of the South Korean companies Posco Daewoo Corporation and SAC, mass media, enterprise employees.
The Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzmetkombinat T.Azamatov noted that the most important priorities for further economic development of the plant are the implementation of projects aimed at producing import-substituting, competitive and export-oriented products in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On JSC Uzmetkombinat Development Program” for 2018-2020”.
The facility provides for production of 10 thousand tons of MnC17 ferrosilicon manganese per year. Six thousand tons of products will be used to meet the needs of the plant, to ensure the domestic market – up to 1,000 tons per year and 3,000 tons per year for export.
As reported by the Information Service of JSC Uzmetkombinat, 125 new jobs have been created at the new workshop. Due to the new project, it is planned to reduce the dependence of the metallurgical industry of Uzbekistan on the import of raw materials, reduce the cost of production of finished products, and thus increase the industrial potential, strengthen the country’s position on the metal products market in the CIS.
