At the videoconference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the need for solving problems related to the storage and transportation of fruits and vegetables to maintain price stability for products on the markets in the winter and spring seasons was noted.
If there are projects on these issues, then all conditions will be created for them. For example, long-term funds for $140 million in banks attracted from outside for agriculture have not been disbursed. Since the beginning of the year, ready-made credit lines for $330 million have not been used.
“Banks, heads of leasing companies and hokims do not seek to issue these funds to entrepreneurs”, the President said.
Hokims of the regions were instructed to submit their projects for the development of these funds within a month.
The activity of the joint-stock company Agroleasing was criticized, which does not seek to implement new projects. It was instructed to completely transform its activities into a system capable of providing practical assistance to farmers.
The Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to:
– launch 200 thousand tons capacity for the storage of products in the districts;
– start projects on intensive orchards and vegetable growing, storage, packaging and processing, involving the issuance of leasing to entrepreneurs at the expense of $100 million;
– submit a draft resolution on granting preferences to owners of greenhouses in all regions;
– present a draft resolution on the complete renewal of the system of financing, lending, leasing and insurance in the agricultural sector.
