The Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan organized a solemn event dedicated to June 27 – the Press and Mass Media Workers Day.

Media representatives, professors and teachers of universities, trade union employees were invited to the event.

Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Senator Kudratilla Rafikov, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov and others noted that the attitude towards the national media has undergone unprecedented changes.

This is reflected in ensuring freedom of speech, finding timely solutions to various problems, informing people about the process of rapid renewal taking place in the country.

A group of journalists was awarded on the occasion of the Press and Mass Media Workers Day. Journalists covering the reforms in the field of human dignity in the country were awarded the prizes of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan.
