Joint film project of Uzbekistan and Russia will be shot in Uzbekistan

Delegation of Uzbekistan continues to conclude new agreements at the national pavilion created by the Youth Union of Uzbekistan within the framework of Cannes Film Festival.At the most interesting and lively phase of the Cannes Film Festival, which brought together the best representatives of the world cinematography and film market, the delegation of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Russian film company “Renovatsio”.
According to the memorandum, filmmakers from Russia together with their Uzbek colleagues will begin filming “Hodja Nasreddin”, in 2018 in Uzbekistan.
As reported by the producer of “Renovatsio” Georgy Malkov, the Russian filmmakers specially invited the famous French actor Jean Reno to participate in filming this project. Jean Reno accepted this invitation.
Half of creative and technical group will consist of Uzbek specialists in “Hodja Nasreddin” project.
The launch of this film project will facilitate mutual exchange of experience and attraction of foreign investments to Uzbekistan.
