Joint educational program for training specialists

Issues of strengthening cooperation in healthcare were discussed at the meeting of Fergana region’s Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov and CEO of OPASCA GmbH Alexey Sverdlov.

The parties discussed the issue of establishing within the framework of the 2+1 bachelor's degree program developed jointly with Germany in nurse care at Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health.

As noted at the meeting, this is the first educational program for training specialists developed jointly by Uzbekistan and Germany.

By the parties’ agreement, undergraduate students in nurse care after two years of study at Ferghana Medical Institute of Public Health will continue their studies for one year at the Academy of the Clinic of the University of Mannheim in Germany.

Graduates who have completed their studies will be given a diploma recognized in Germany and a diploma from Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health of the state standard.

After completing their studies, graduates can get jobs in medical institutions in Germany. It is planned to allocate 150 admission quotas for the bachelor's degree organized within the framework of the joint educational program each academic year.

The implementation of Germany's best practices for the development of the Fergana healthcare system and the mutual exchange of experience was also discussed at the meeting.
