A job fair has been conducted in Nukus for specialists of the information technology and communications sphere.

The job fair was arranged by the Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Information Technology and Communications in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour of the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, this republic’s directorate for secondary special education and vocational training and higher educational institutions there.

38 enterprises and establishments working in the sphere of information technology and communications participated in the job fair with 105 vacancies. Also they displayed samples of their products and services.

At the job fair, job placement certificates were given to 32 of the 127 students graduating from the Nukus branch of the Muhammad al-Khorazmi Tashkent Information Technology University this year.

“During today’s event, I signed an agreement on employment according to my speciality. After graduating from the university, I will be working as programmer at Amudaryo District’s socio-economics vocational college,” says Muborak Quvvatova.

12 of the participants in the job fair expressed a desire to engage in entrepreneurial activities, and they submitted the necessary documents for obtaining preferential credits from commercial banks.

During the job fair, the Nukus city centre for helping with employment provided such services for young graduates of educational establishments and jobless people, as job placement, social support, professional training and qualification upgrading.

Employees of commercial banks and tax inspectorates gave detailed information to young people about how to obtain small credits and use tax privileges.
