Jizzakh hosted International Ultramarathon “Zaamin Ultra 2023”.

Participants competed at distances of 10, 21, and 50 km.

Akmal Ochilkulov from Uzbekistan and Alexandra Cherkas from Russia won gold medals in the 10 km distance.

The winners at a distance of 21 km among men were Nurziyot Bekaliyev, Giyos Erkaboyev and Andrey Sharipov from Uzbekistan. Among women, O. Abramova from Russia was the first to cross the finish line, the second was Uzbekistan’s A. Avakyan, and the third was another Russian athlete A. Permyakova.

At a distance of 50 kilometers, Uzbekistan’s Artur Shaipov, Yusuf Nazarov and Alisher Rajabov entered the top three. Among women, the first was Shirin Yusupova from Uzbekistan, and the second was Marina Filippova from Russia.
