On August 11-13, the Baymaksky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation hosted the Bashkort Aty International Horse Festival. Representatives of Jizzakh region successfully participated in the event.

The primary attention was paid to the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports, agro-ecotourism. Team sports competitions and games, cultural and enlightenment exhibitions, were organized.

Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh region took part in the event at the invitation of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Deputy Hokim of the region A. Savurbayev led the delegation. The country's honor was defended by the strongest riders, archery masters, and wrestlers of Jizzakh region.

A meeting was held between the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the Deputy Hokim of Jizzakh region Akmal Savurbayev. At the meeting, an agreement was reached on the joint development of the socio-economic, agrarian, and humanitarian spheres, culture, tourism, science, education, and sports between Jizzakh region and Bashkortostan.
