JICA contributes to the development of Surkhandarya region
As previously reported, Surkhandarya region delegation visits Japan to discuss issues of establishing cooperation in various fields.
As part of the visit, the Regional Hokim Ulugbek Kosimov met with the Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Sachiko Imoto.

The parties agreed to launch new projects in Surkhandarya region with the support of JICA in economic and strategic directions, to use the experience and capabilities of this Agency in the development of the social sphere of the region, to implement pilot projects to improve healthcare and school education, the development of saline lands, the introduction of water-saving technologies, broad promotion of the tourism potential of Surkhandarya in Japan.
