During a visit organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait, a delegation led by Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, visited the Tareq Rajab Museum and met with its Director, Ziad Rajab.

The museum, located in Kuwait’s capital, houses a collection of more than 30,000 ancient and contemporary artifacts. Kuwaiti businessman Tareq Sayid Rajab founded it and has been operating since 1980.

Delegation members announced plans to attract around 50 international collections for an exhibition expected to be organized at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.

It was noted that this event will be the first in the history of global museology to unite dozens of exhibitions around the heritage of a single country.

“The construction of the Center for Islamic Civilization under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has deeply impressed me, and we are pleased to collaborate with you in the future. The exhibition of artifacts from the Tareq Rajab Museum in your country is a historic event. The museum houses valuable exhibits related to Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage, including 14th-century copies of Avicenna’s Canon of Medicine, jewelry belonging to the Emir of Bukhara and his relatives, miniatures from the Shaybanid era, and many other artifacts”, Ziad Rajab said.
