Japan’s Hidaka to host Uzbek athletes at the Olympics and Paralympics
The town of Hidaka located in Hokkaido prefecture has been registered as a Host town for Uzbekistan athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the online signing ceremony of the Agreement on the exchange program took place on January 19, 2021.
The event was attended by the Mayor of the city of Hidaka, Chiaki Otaka, and the Chairman of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Gaziyev.
There are currently 14 local governments in Hokkaido prefecture registered as host cities. Hidaka will be officially registered by the end of this month.
