Uzbekistan diplomats visited Tokyo University of the Arts to discuss the issue of creating copies of cultural heritage items of the country for their subsequent demonstration in museums around the world.

Within the framework of a grant from the Japan Science and Technology Agency, Tokyo University of the Arts has carried out work on the study, digitalization, 3D conversion, making models and recreating copies of the wall paintings of Afrasiab.

About a quarter of all wall paintings (about 10 meters) have been reproduced by the Japanese side. 

An agreement was reached to continue negotiations on the reproduction of the entire composition, the coordination of financial and technical details, as well as a further mechanism for the timely implementation of the project and the subsequent sending of copies to the country.
