The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi has met with teachers and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, UWED Rector Sodik Safoyev informed the high-ranking guest about the history and activities of the education institution, about its relations with Japanese universities.

Mr. Hayashi also got acquainted with the Japanese language study program. At the event, the decision of the Academic Council of the university on conferring the title of Honorary Doctor of UWED was read out to Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi. He was solemnly awarded a diploma and a mantle.

Following the meeting, UWED Honorary Doctor Yoshimasa Hayashi informed about the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, expressing his opinion on important areas of bilateral cooperation.
