A delegation of Japanese entrepreneurs arrived in the city of Termez to get acquainted with Surkhandarya region and establish further cooperation in trade, tourism and agriculture.
The delegation got acquainted with manufacturing enterprises and service companies and visited ancient archaeological sites.

The guests visited the carpet production plant Termez National Carpets LLC, in Termez district. 20.2 million euros were spent on creating the enterprise, equipped with modern imported equipment. More than a hundred people work here and produce competitive products.
Japanese entrepreneurs, inspecting the workshops of the enterprise, were interested in the production process, the quality of raw materials, and finished carpet products. They were informed about the production capacity of Termez National Carpets LLC, yarn harvesting techniques, and pattern creation technology.

In Termez district, the guests also visited the archaeological monuments of Fayoztepa and Qoratepa. They got acquainted with the history of the monuments, culture, urban planning, and the formation of the Buddhist religion.
In the city of Termez, guests were impressed by the Mashkhura Medical Diagnostic Center and the Termez International Trade Center. It is also planned to visit several museums and participate in the ceremony of planting tree seedlings in the official Reception House of the Regional Hokimiyat.

As part of the visit, business people from Japan were received by the Regional Hokim Ulugbek Kasimov. Local and Japanese entrepreneurs are expected to sign bilateral agreements at Surkhandarya – Japan Business Forum and B2B and B2G meetings.
