Japan supports Uzbekistan women in rural areas
Japanese Government decided to support Uzbekistan women living and working in rural areas.
Japanese Government decided to support Uzbekistan women living and working in rural areas.
According to the Embassy of Japan in Tashkent, as a result of this project, more than 3,500 women of Fergana, Jizzakh and Kashkadarya regions will be able to get professional education and engage in business activities.
Funds will be allocated for 300 small and medium-sized businesses, as well as 1500 new jobs will be created.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) intend to supply medical equipment and materials for countering coronavirus infection free of charge. Humanitarian aid will include personal protective equipment, artificial lung ventilation, digital x-ray equipment and others.
