The 20th International APTLD Summit (Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association) was held at Inha University in Tashkent (IUT).

APTLD is one of the main organizations of a complex regional and global system for coordinating the development of the Internet and a platform for exchanging experience on technological and operational issues. APTLD also participates actively in development of international principles for administration of domain names. The organization was established in 1998, and in 2003, it was headquartered in Malaysia.

The fact that the anniversary summit is held in Tashkent is a recognition of the real progress of the state’s efforts, business and public organizations in development of .uz domain zone.

The summit in Tashkent brought together representatives of more than 40 countries of Asia-Pacific region, as well as guests from Europe, North and South America. Among the participants, there are representatives of small islands of Oceania and large countries with a billion population. This large-scale event aims to introduce the representatives of the state, the e-business and, in particular, the domain industry, to the main trends, challenges and new opportunities generated by development of unique network of the Global Network, new Internet security technologies, and Internet development in other countries.

Within the framework of the APTLD conference, experts held work sessions, training, and press conferences.
