Uzbekistan is taking part in the ITB Berlin Travel Trade Show in Germany.

The delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ulugbek Azamov consists of employees of the Ministry, National PR Center, Uzbekistan Airways JSC, “Silk Road Samarkand” International Tourist Center, travel companies of Uzbekistan, including Compass, Creative Tours, Peopletravel, Asia Tour Elit, Asia Adventures, Euroasia Travel, Central Asia Travel, Marakanda Travel, Sezam Travel and Silk Road Travel.

With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, a presentation of the tourism brand of Uzbekistan, its rich traditions, customs and culture took place at the exhibition.

On the first day of the exhibition, the country’s officials held business meetings aimed at popularizing the country’s tourism potential abroad and increasing the flow of tourists. Meetings were organized with representatives of BBC News channel, Australian Lonely Planet publishing company, Curious Korea travel company, Travel Dudes German media corporation and the Amadeus IT company, Pearl of Asia Turkmen travel company, Saudi International Travel Company, as well as, OTM Indian Exhibition and Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd.

The event also included several talks. In particular, meetings were held with representatives of companies from Kazakhstan, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, Indonesia and Russia.
