Italian Musical Evening in Tashkent

A variety of creative-musical evenings are being held by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to widely promote achievements in various areas of art.

A variety of creative-musical evenings are being held by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to widely promote achievements in various areas of art.

One of such events – evening of opera art, organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in Uzbekistan and “Uzbekistan – Italy” Friendship Society, was held at the State Academic Grand Theater named after Alisher Navoi.

At the creative evening, dedicated to the memory of Italian composer Gioachino Antonio Rossini, parties from plays “Barber of Seville”, “Cinderella” were performed.

G.Rossini has a special place among Italian composers of the XIX century. Maestro made a significant contribution not only to development of Italian opera, but also to its reformation, prosperity of European opera art. G.Rossini, the author of almost forty plays, left a rich musical heritage.

The concert was conducted by famous Italian conductor Eddy de Nadai.

– I often visit Uzbekistan, – says Eddy de Nadai. – Every time accepted invitation to participate in musical evenings in Uzbekistan with great pleasure. People of Uzbekistan highly appreciate art, it’s especially pleasant that theater artists are performing in original Italian language.
