Cooperation has been established with international experts and specialists to further develop fruit and vegetable growing. One of the projects implemented within the framework of such cooperation is “Technical support for the development of the fruit and vegetable sector in Uzbekistan”.
International expert of the project Ruggero Malossi, local specialists N.Khalilov and B.Mirzokhidov visited the Samarkand Scientific Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking named after academician M.Mirzayev.
The uninterrupted year-round supply of fruits and vegetables to our markets also depends on post-harvest processing practices. The Italian expert of the project, Ruggero Malossi, is one of the most experienced specialists who has been conducting many years of research in this area.
At the workshop, which was held with the participation of researchers from the Samarkand Scientific Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Winemaking named after Academician M. Mirzayev, specialists from dehkan and farm enterprises, Ruggero Malossi made a presentation on the “Requirements for post-harvest processing of fruits and vegetables”.
The participants were provided with information and recommendations in the form of slides on the practice of post-harvest processing of fruits and vegetables. At the workshop, local specialists got acquainted with foreign experience and exchanged views. The parties agreed to organize such trainings with a wider audience and directly at the experimental sites.
