At the videoconference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was noted that it is necessary to establish annual seed preparation of 300 thousand tons of potatoes, 6 thousand tons of legumes, 11 thousand oilseeds in the country.

There is already a good experience in Samarkand region in potatoes. The authorized persons were instructed to apply this experience together with the private sector to legume and oilseeds and allocate $26 million for this.

Hokims of the regions were tasked with reducing the import of seeds three times in the next two years. It was instructed to create at least one farm in each region for intensive cultivation of vegetable seedlings.

The authorized agencies were instructed to develop a draft law on the application of effective tax mechanisms to encourage the transition to intensive agriculture.
