Tashkent hosted the international scientific-theoretical conference “Regionalism and Stability: Ensuring Central Asian Security in the Context of Global Changes”.

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security Qutbiddin Burkhanov shared his opinion on the challenges facing Central Asian countries in the context of global geopolitical processes, the need to strengthen international cooperation in the security system, the importance of mutual trust, and the long-term prospects for regional stability.

Representatives of 100 organizations, international experts, university staff, and mass media attended the conference. The speakers highlighted Uzbekistan’s efforts in strengthening peace, stability, and good-neighborliness in Central Asia.

During the event, reports were heard on the role of international organizations in the global and regional security system, as well as on the relevance of cooperation in strengthening stability in Central Asia.

Following the event, several proposals and recommendations were developed to improve security policy in the region, promote new scientific and practical initiatives, and strengthen international cooperation mechanisms.
