It is essential to approve the renewed program of the SCO member states to counter terrorism
Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev called for the approval of a renewed cooperation program to counter terrorism, separatism, and extremism, which is necessary for the future summit of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
“At the upcoming summit of the heads of the SCO member states, it is important to approve a renewed cooperation program in countering terrorism, separatism, and extremism for 2025-2027. In addition, it is necessary to continue to jointly promote the SCO Convention on Countering Extremism, primarily at the UN, as a leading experience of cooperation between our countries in the fight against extremism”, Mr. Patrushev said in Astana at the 19th annual meeting of the secretaries of the security councils of the SCO member states.
The SCO summit will take place on July 3-4 in Astana.
