Approved in addition to the World Anti-Doping Code, the International Convention against Doping in Sport is one of the legal normative documents binding on all countries.

Every two years, a session is held in Paris with the participation of representatives of more than 195 UNESCO Member States. Uzbekistan constantly participates in its work.

A meeting was held at the National Anti-Doping Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries and agencies.

The meeting, chaired by the Director of the National Anti-Doping Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Sadikov, was attended by representatives of the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, the National Olympic Committee and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.

The participants discussed the main purpose of the convention and the issues that must be fulfilled in accordance with the articles specified in it. Views were exchanged on anti-doping areas that should be promoted by representatives of Uzbekistan at the UNESCO session in Paris.
