Ambassador of Uzbekistan Vitaly Feng met with the Advisor to the Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth of the Republic of Korea, Director of the Ban Ki-moon Foundation for Sustainable Development Jeong Tae-yong.

The parties discussed the initiatives of Uzbekistan to implement the strategy for the transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a green economy for 2019-2030, and the significant role and leading position of Uzbekistan in the implementation of risk management and adaptation measures in Central Asia.

To achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, the parties noted the importance of joint efforts to widely introduce renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies, as well as to study the impact of policies to reduce and prevent greenhouse gas emissions on the economy and industry of the country.
