Working meetings of experts in education from Russia and Uzbekistan with the participation of heads of relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries, heads and teachers of Russian universities and their branches in Uzbekistan were held at the branches of Russian universities in Tashkent.
The Ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov greeted the audience, wishing to develop branches, improve the quality of teaching, taking into account competition with other countries.
Heads of Russian universities and branches in Uzbekistan presented innovative approaches to education, shared successfully implemented projects and plans for the near future.
The participants also discussed issues of developing Russian branches and possible options for inter-university cooperation in their solution. According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, 7.5 thousand students are studying in 14 branches of Russian universities in Uzbekistan. 63 thousand students from Uzbekistan are currently studying in Russia.
