The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Surkhandarya region.

With the participation of Surkhandarya region’s Hokim Ulugbek Qosimov and the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov negotiations were held between the delegations of the two regions in an expanded format.

Ulugbek Qosimov and Rustam Minnikhanov sincerely congratulated everyone on the holy month of Ramadan. The guest expressed profound gratitude to the Head of Surkhandarya region for the hospitality and shared his impressions of the ancient land’s rich history.

Hokim Ulugbek Qosimov provided detailed information on the region’s socio-economic and investment attractiveness and proposed several mutually interesting proposals, identifying prospects for cooperation in oil refining, transport, logistics, agriculture, innovative technologies, animal husbandry, and education.

Agreements were reached on organizing cultural days between Surkhandarya region and the Republic of Tatarstan to further strengthen cooperation and friendly ties, ensuring the participation of delegations in festive celebrations.

The relevant protocols were signed following the negotiations.

The exhibition featured expositions demonstrating residents’ cultural traditions, national values, and traditional dishes.

The guests visited the international trade center Termez, where a presentation of ongoing major projects and opportunities took place. They were informed about a special corridor for the transportation of goods from Termez to Afghanistan. They were very interested in the activities of Termez National Carpets LLC for the production of carpets, the project of Leto LLC for the organization of greenhouses and storage of agricultural products, and the experience of residents of “Bahor” mahalla of Angor district in the management of household plots.

Following the visit to Surkhandarya region, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov became familiar with the exhibits of Termez Archaeological Museum, the only one in the Central Asian region, testifying to the rich past of the region.
