The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with a delegation led by the Chairman of the Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia Interparliamentary Friendship Group Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarba.

It was noted that thanks to the political will of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, relations between the countries are gradually expanding.

Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarba highly appreciated the attention paid to the development of Islamic culture and enlightenment in Uzbekistan at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the dialogue, considering the importance of interparliamentary relations in developing bilateral ties, attention was focused on issues of their further development.

Views were exchanged on effectively using the capabilities of parliamentary friendship groups, intensifying their cooperation, and enriching their work with practical results.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop and sign a corresponding document that aims to elevate inter-parliamentary cooperation to a new level.
